Getting around
The region is well served by road infrastructure, cycle routes and public transport including trains and buses. The area is served by two International airports - Newcastle and Durham/Tees Valley.
There are a variety of travel options for getting to Durham and Queen's campus.

Schools & childcare

Healthcare
Information can be found on the NHS North East site which you can then search further for local services specific to the area in which you are looking to live.
The University also has its own Health Centre and provides for the needs of students and staff of the University. It is part of a larger practice, Claypath & University Medical Group, which also has a health centre at 26 Gilesgate.

The University has a dedicated Relocation Manager, Stina Maynard who will assist you to make the move as smooth as possible. Stina will work alongside you providing support with your domestic arrangements, offering a seamless and highly personal service to all involved in the move, to help ensure you settle into the area as smoothly as possible.
