This is the web-site of a twenty-five year old Ph.D student at the University of Durham in the United Kingdom. I have created this for a number of reasons: as a place to point people to when they ask me what I research, as somewhere to put common explanations I have written for teaching purposes and as a place to put things like my CV. It is also a location for essays as and when I see fit to write them.
I am currently participating in a project with my supervisor, William Song, researching techniques for the production of bespoke, composite web-services from a customer’s requirements. My research within this project is focused on the semantics of functional and non-functional requirements and the semantics of processes, especially from a cognitive perspective. My wider research interests are evidential logics and computational cognition as well as, to an extent, the philosophical and practical implications of evidential semantics. I believe that the best approach to these problems is a broad one, uniting the ideas and results of many diverse disciplines.
This site isn’t very frequently updated at the moment. I am endeavouring to address this.
