Erasmus and Durham University

Durham University is a recognised institution in the LLP/ Erasmus programme and has links with over 150 universities across Europe. Each department has its own link with certain partner universities and you should check with your home university to see if there is a link in your subject area.

Our academic programmes run for the full academic year (October - June). However, it is possible to spend less than one year at Durham if your home university has made special arrangements with the department in Durham. Unless you are taking a special project, students attend the same courses and take the same examinations as students studying a full degree at Durham.
