Sharne oversees all activity in the International Office.

Fiona O'Carroll
Deputy Director and Regional Manager (Americas)

Fiona has responsibility for marketing and development activity across the Americas particularly responsible for Latin America including partnerships and academic links. 

Christine Pears
Office Manager/PA to Director

Christine manages the running of the International Office, manages support staff administers the budget and acts as PA to the Director.

Victoria Anderson

Assistant Director (Marketing & Recruitment), and Regional Manager (East and South East Asia)

Victoria is responsible for marketing and development activity across East and South East Asia, including Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Sophie Edgar
Admissions and Events Officer (maternity cover)

Sophie is responsible for international undergraduate admissions, meet and greet, applicant visit organisation and liaising with international student societies.

Lorraine Bennett
International Assistant

Lorraine supports the Admissions and Events Officer with undergraduate admissions through UCAS and arranges applicant visits.

International Student Recruitment and Marketing

Lisa Sadler
Regional Manager (Middle East and Africa)

Lisa is responsible for marketing operations in the Middle East and Africa, including Nigeria, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Jordan UAE and Oman.

David Thornber
Regional Manager (South and Central Asia)

David is responsible for marketing operations in South and Central Asia, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Beth Sutcliffe
International Officer (North America)

Beth is responsible for marketing operations in the US, Canada and recruitment of International students in the UK.  She is also the International Office's 'Green Champion'.

Kristi McFarland
International Officer (East and South East Asia)

Kristi assists in recruitment of students from East and South East Asia with day to day management of Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Tracy Maratty
International Assistant

Tracy supports the Regional Managers for East and South East Asia & Middle East & Africa. She also oversees the distribution of freight, student applications received through Agents and deals with general enquiries from students and agents and arranges commission payments to Agents.

Ashleigh Sawyer
International Assistant

Ashleigh works with the Regional Managers for South and Central Asia and Americas.  She also processes student applications received through Agents and deals with general enquiries from students and agents.

International Partnerships and Mobility

Jemima Lloyd 
Assistant Director (University Relations)

Jemima is responsible for the development of International Partnerships, Networks and Scholarships; in addition to staff and student international mobility.

Study Abroad & Exchange

Melissa Schuessler
Exchanges & Study Abroad Officer

Melissa manages the University’s Erasmus, overseas exchange and study abroad programmes including agreements, support and admissions.  

Rachael Bird
Exchanges and Study Abroad Assistant 

Rachael supports the Exchanges & Study Abroad Officer.  She also supports and administers the admissions process for Erasmus/Overseas Exchange & Study Abroad programmes (incoming and outgoing), and the administration of Erasmus staff exchanges.  Rachael is liaison with partner universities and departments on the set up and renewal of Bilateral Agreements, and is the Health & Safety Coordinator for the Department.

Kate Sharples 
International Partnerships Officer

Kate coordinates involvement with International networks eg MNU, Scholarship agencies, the University's Regional Interest Groups and the development of International Partnerships

Lindsay Young
International Assistant (University Relations)

Lindsay works with the Partnerships and Mobility team, providing support for strategic university partnerships, regional interest groups and University networks.
