Islam, Law and Modernity (ILM) has been established with the purpose of providing an exciting and stimulating environment for research, discussion and commentary on a variety of social, political and legal issues relating to the Islamic world. The site is intended to support the purpose of ILM by providing a source for interested individuals to review topical issues and up-to-date commentaries; promoting ILM amongst other academic and judicial, cultural and governmental communities; advertising the ILM's aims and objectives; providing ease of disseminating relevant information regarding conferences and symposiums and other organised events.

ILM members interviewed on US national radio on the Arab Spring
ILM members Michael Bohlander, Mohammad Hedayati-Kakhki and Adel Maged presented papers at two community fora hosted by Old Dominion University in Norfolk (VA) on 3 and 4 April 2013. All three were also interviewed in the context of the Arab Spring on national radio by the Hearsay Programme of WHRV Radio.
