Critical Risk Research: Practices, Politics and Ethics

(11 April 2012)

IHRR's exciting new book on multidisciplinary research in risk is now available.

This book represents a new outlook for the ways risk is defined both in and outside of academia. It includes contributions from researchers in hazard, risk and resilience from across Durham University.  Made up of three parts exploring the practices, politics and ethics in risk research, Critical Risk Research not only illustrate the framework of IHRR in the research that we do, but also challenges how risk is framed in society.  It will likely help spark debate about how risk is studied now and in the near future.

The book may now be purchased through Wiley but will also be available from Amazon and other book sellers.

There is a preview chapter available for free online along with the table of contents. Further information about the book is also available on IHRR's blog.
