PhD progress seminar

7th December 2011, 10:00 to 12:00, ER 149, MELIH SOMNEZ and KUBRA SAVAS

The Institute will be holding a PhD progress seminar on Wednesday 7th December 2011 at 10.00 am until  Noon.  The venue will be ER 149.

Presentations will be made by the following candidates on the topics set out below:

1.    MELIH SOMNEZ 

 "Improving Transparency and Disclosure in EU Company and Securities Market Law"

The draft title of Melih's PhD thesis is: "Recent Developments in Corporate Governance in terms of Transparency and Disclosure: A comparative analysis between the EU and Turkey."

And

2.    KUBRA SAVAS

 "A Critical Analysis of the EU post-Enron audit regulations in terms of convergence."

The draft title of Kubra's PhD thesis is: "Re-thinking the role of audit in corporate governance: a comparative analysis."

All members of the Institute and Law School staff are invited to attend these presentations.
