Van Mildert College
The College offers the following fellowships:
The Arthur Prowse Fellowship offers free board and lodging for a term as part of a small and lively residential Senior Common Room. The Fellowship is named after Dr William Arthur Prowse, who was for many years a member of the Department of Physics and from 1964-1972 the Master of Van Mildert College. The aims of the Fellowship are to commemorate Dr Prowse's contribution to the College and University and to enrich the University community by bringing scholars from elsewhere to it. The Fellow is expected to take part in the general life of the College and may give a seminar, open to all members of the University, on the subject of his/her work in Durham.
The Arnold Bradshaw Fellowship offers free board and lodging for a term as part of a small and lively residential Senior Common Room. The Fellowship will be offered to an educational professional, from the UK or abroad, wishing to do formal or independent study in one of the University’s teaching and research departments.
