University College
University College provides two fellowships: the Leonard Slater Fellowship and the Pemberton Fellowship.
Each fellowship provides free accommodation in College with full-board during the term (9/10 weeks). Fellows may arrive/leave in the vacation before/after the term's fellowship. There is no stipend provided with the fellowship; it is primarily intended for those on sabbatical or study leave, wishing to carry out research in Durham. A link with a specific department is expected. There are no limitations of subject area or discipline.
Fellows will be expected to engage in academic work within their subject-area during the tenure of the fellowship and to participate in the life of the College. The fellow may be invited to deliver a public lecture or seminar organised by the College. The fellow's accommodation would be a small self-contained flat with limited cooking facilities, located just outside the Castle. For further information contact the Master
