Welcome

Our laboratory is engaged in applied chemical synthesis utilising technological solutions to circumvent commonly encountered difficulties faced by modern synthetic chemistry in striving to prepare new molecular entities. We specialise in the design and application of enabling technologies such as flow chemistry, microwave reactors, immobilised reagents and scavengers to expedite complex chemical syntheses. Our laboratory houses state of the art equipment including many micro and meso flow reactors (both commercial and bespoke) which can be applied to various chemical synthesis programmes from analytical to preparative scale. The laboratory also functions as an expert training environment for a range of members including PhD students, postdoctoral fellows and furthermore accommodates academic visitors from industry and other institutions in a spirit of close collaboration.
