Professor Conor Gearty is a leading expert in the field of human rights' law. (2006) Hamlyn Lectures; Principles of Human Rights Adjudication (2004) Oxford University Press; with Keith Ewing (2000) The struggle for civil liberties: political freedom and the rule of law in Britain, 1914-1945 Oxford University Press. He delivered the Hamlyn lectures at Durham, LSE and Belfast in November 2005. We are delighted to welcome him back to Durham to deliver this year's Human Rights' Centre lecture.
