On 12 June 2013 Durham HRC, with the support of the British Academy, Leverhulme Trust and UNSW Law, will host a workshop on 'Critical Debates on Counter-Terrorism'. The workshop will feature speakers from the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Denmark, and Canada presenting work to be published in 2014 in de Londras & Davis (eds), Critical Debates on Counter-Terrorist Judicial Review (Cambridge University Press).

On 19 June 2013, Alan Greene a PhD scholar at UCD and visiting scholar at Durham will present a paper entitled 'The Permanent State of Emergency as an illegitimate Constitutional Amendment: The Case for Judicial Review' building on his doctoral work.
