Maternity Leave

Maternity leave is granted in accordance with the Maternity Leave Agreement reached with the recognised trade unions.

Following amendments to legislation made by the 'Work and Families Act' 2006, new maternity regulations came into force on 1st April 2007.

Please use the sections 'Guidelines for Employees' and 'Guidelines for Managers' for full guidance on the University's maternity leave policy.
