Holidays - Statutory and Customary 2009/10
Statutory and customary holidays, annually 12 in total, are as follows for all non-teaching staff.
The University closed on Tuesday 23 December 2008 and re-opened on Monday 5 January 2009 for normal business.

The University will close on Thursday 23 December 2010 and re-open on Tuesday 4 January 2011 for normal business.
Colleges are free to decide whether to adopt the same customary days as the University or whether to fix their own in the light of students needs, vacation trade etc. The national agreement is that there are to be 4 customary days, to be fixed "at the discretion of the University" (or in the case "the College" after local consultation).
