Welcome to People+

The People+ Project is a huge undertaking that aims to modernise the University’s HR and Payroll activities. We are updating our systems, software and by extension our business procedures, to improve our data collection, management and usage.

Once completed, we will all benefit from streamlined HR and Payroll data systems giving us:

  1. A significant reduction in the duplication of effort and margin for error
  2. Better visibility of and access to data whilst ensuring security and legal compliance
  3. The capacity to integrate the new system with existing University software
  4. Greater flexibility to run reports and review data in ways which are not currently available to us

Timescales

The project follows these broad timescales:

  • 2012: The procurement exercise invited suppliers to take part and demonstrate how their system matches our requirements.
  • 2013: The final supplier will be appointed and implementation and resulting business process change will begin.
  • 2014: The system and process will be tested with a view to going live in April 2014!
