Outreach and charity work

There is the chance to get involved in volunteering projects, outreach work and fundraising through the our own Durham University Charity Kommittee (DUCK) group, and through the University's Student Community Action (SCA) group.

Hild Bede students are involved with a vast range of charity and outreach activities: From completing the 3/5 Peaks and expeditions to Nepal, right through to rag-raids raising money out on the streets, and working in local schools.

Our students help with St. Johns Ambulance's activities, organise bar quizzes and bar crawls to raise money for charities and run our annual charity fashion show.  Our student 'Exec' committee even auction themselves and their skills (cooking, cleaning, sports coaching, tutoring etc) each year at our DUCK Formal!
