Arts, Music & Societies

At Hild-Bede, because we have such a large and diverse student body, we offer a huge variety of societies and interest groups for you to get involved in.  

Our music and theatre groups include our Chapel Choir and 'Hild Bede Theatre', which gives you the chance to perform or get involved behind the scenes in a large-scale musical in our very own on-site theatre, or in one of their smaller-scale performances in our Undercroft Bar.

Lots of interests are represented in our societies:

• Aerobics
• Bede Film Society
• Cheerleading
• Christian Union
• DUCK (charity and fundraising)
• Full Collapse (an alternative music society)
• Gym
• Pond (an environmental / conservation society)
• Ultimate Frisbee

And if we currently don't have a club which caters for you, then you can actually start your own! All you need is 15 like-minded people to start a club, have it ratified and apply for a budget. The College gives you all the support you need to make it happen. Our most recent additions include the 'Poker Society' and the 'Fashion Show Committee'.

All our clubs and societies are 100% run by Hild Bede students, giving everyone the chance to be a President or Treasurer or Social Secretary, and make the Club the best it can be (and boost your CV too!).
