participants in one of the BMSC practical sessions
Biological and Microbiological Safety Courses - These courses are designed for non-experts and do not assume any prior knowledge of biosafety aspects. Previous participants have included researchers, postgraduate students, industrial scientists and technicians. They are run by experienced research and teaching personnel; lectures are delivered as high quality multimedia presentations . In addition to teaching and research experience all the course coordinators have extensive experience over many years of dealing with all aspects of biological and microbiological safety. The courses normally run biannually in October and March but can be arranged at other times depending on demand and numbers of participants. A unique feature of the course is the hands-on, practical sessions run in addition to talks, demonstrations and discussions. The courses comprise of two full-day sessions. If you are interested in attending one of these please contact Dr Paul Hunt, University Biological Safety Adviser, who can provide details of the dates of future courses.
