Faith support

Hatfield chapel
The College Chapel has an important place in the life of the College. It was built in 1851.

Interior of Hatfield Chapel
The Chaplaincy (which is Anglican) seeks to encourage a place in the life of the College for worship for those both within and without the Christian tradition of faith.
In term time, there are regular services on Friday evenings at 5.30pm. The Chapel is open every day and (usually) provides a haven for quiet prayer and meditation.

The Chapel is also a College concert venue and it's not unusual to find groups or individuals practising. The College has an excellent choir that not only contributes to weekly worship in the Chapel but also goes on tours in Britain and abroad and makes CDs. For details of how to audition for the choir (and for one of the choral scholarships) and for the post of College Organ Scholar please see below.

The Chapel also houses a fine Harrison and Harrison organ, which is used for services and individual practice. At key times, the Chapel is a focus of the life the College. Annual events include the Christmas Carol Service, Remembrance Day and Graduation Services. Special events also take place from time to time, including weddings and baptisms.
