Postgraduate Life
Every Durham University postgraduate student is a member of a college - a supportive, diverse community of students and staff from across the University.
Whether you 'live-in' in College, or 'live-out' in town or in your own home, there is a membership package for you to benefit from the services and opportunities on offer in College.
Each college has its own distinctive character defined by its buildings, traditions and people, and each offers an excellent range of facilities for study, sports, socialising and relaxing. As well as the practical facilities all colleges provide, they offer excellent personal support and a secure environment which complements the academic provision of your department.
If you would like to belong to a lively College and be part of the unique Durham collegiate student experience then Hatfield may be the place for you.

Membership of Hatfield College
All postgraduate students who have chosen or been allocated to Hatfield must accept their membership prior to the start of their studies. We recommend that you do so at the same time as (or shortly after) accepting your academic offer. In accepting membership of the College you agree to abide by the College Regulations (see document below) and pay all College levies and fees as they become due. Please see the section of Fees and Finance for further information on membership costs.
If you have any questions to ask about becoming a postgraduate student at Hatfield please contact Dr. Anthony Bash the Tutor for Postgraduates.
