Grey Ernst & Young Employability Skills Workshop

Hello Grey!!!
 
Hope you all enjoyed the wonderful Grey Day!!!!!
 
Here comes the Grey Grey Ernst & Young Employability Skills Workshop. Ernst&Young has chosen Grey out of the hill colleges to hold this event because Grey is Cool!!
 
So, take this great advantage to prepare for your summer job/ future career/ graduate job! After the workshop, you can have Free BBQ with Grey Alumni and CAS advisor where they can answer any question you have in mind.
 
When? 14th June 2011  2.45pm - 7pm
Where? Holgate Room, Grey College
 
There are four sessions on that day. You only have to choose two out of them. If you are interested in coming, please reply with your two choices of topic:) But you have to move fast, there are limited places to this event!!

1. Improving your CV/Application form
  • You'll be reviewing real life CVs and application forms and suggesting improvements to tailor items to the specific job
  • You'll get top tips for improving your CV and application forms to help you in future job applications

2. Interview Skills - Presented by the Careers Advisors of Careers, Employability & Enterprise Centre  
  • You'll be working in small groups to answer and ask typical questions graduate employers present, taking on the role of interviewee, interviewer and observer.
  • You'll get feedback and useful advice on how best to prepare for success in future interviews.

3. Assessment Centre Skills
  • You'll learn what the typical elements of assessment centres are and what skills employers are looking for in each exercise.
  • You'll get useful hints on what to expect and how to prepare for any assessment centres you have in the future.

4. Commercial Awareness
  • You'll be working in small groups to use your commercial awareness skills to analyse news stories and their application to hypothetical companies.
  • You'll get useful advice on what employers are looking for from their graduates and how to improve your commercial awareness in the future.
