Durham may not be renowned for it's nightlife, but that doesn't stop you from having one hell of a night out.
College BarsAll Durham colleges have their own bar on-site, and Grey is no exception to this. And at some point during your time at Grey you will sample most of the College drinks, some great, some not so great.. Or go all out on a Full/Hill/Bailey College bar crawl!
Why not pick-up one of our college drinks - the Fanta Banter - from the Bar on your way into town?
ClubsThe five main clubs in Durham are spread all over the town. Be sure to check out any special Grey only offers, like free entry wristbands etc!
Studio - Grey College favourite - you'll spend many drunken evenings in Studio. Look out for special offers like 50p nights.
Live Lounge - A music venue based on North Road. It is host to many music events during the year.
Loveshack - Loveshack has proved one of the most popular clubs, especially on Wednesdays. It's the biggest club we've got, set on one floor and with some original features such as a campervan.
Klute - We are proud to spend our nights in what is officially 'The Worst Nightclub in Europe' (according to FHM).Klute was only second worst to some bar in Denmark but that burnt down. It has recently been renovated but you can still expect to dance to some of the cheesiest music in Durham.
Jimmy Allen's - the nightclub/ bar is situated under Elvet Bridge next to Boathouse and Klute and is a popular venue for Grey students who head down there for drinks after formals. Even better- entry is free!
BarsBoathouse - situated on the banks of the river, it is a bustling bar open late every night!
Fabios - a popular bar in the centre of town which is open until 1am most nights.
Varsity - with a v-card you can get very good drinks deals at Varsity and it has a great atmosphere!
