Grey Bar is one of the cheapest university bars and also one of the friendliest. The bar is open every night of the week which means there is more than enough time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere in one of the social hubs of Grey. They also have a projector and large screen for all the major sporting events and a Dartboard. Grey Bar is run by the Bar Committee, which organises and runs Barfest, a bar festival which is held in the Epiphany Term. This event is a celebration of bar culture worldwide and will see beers, ciders, wines and cocktails from every corner of the globe brought right to your doorstep and is couple with live entertainment throughout the day, Barfest is one of the best events in the College Social Calendar and is highly regarded throughout the entire University.The Bar Committee is not just about working on the best licensed premise in Durham, it's also about meeting new people and having a lot of fun. They are known throughout college for what can only be described as epic socials. With an impressive back-catalogue of social themes and stories the Bar Comm are always looking for new ways to enjoy themselves on a night out.
