Sport

Grey College sport
Sport is a key part of the life of a student at Durham University, with 95% of students playing sport at some point during their university career. Grey College is no exception and it fully supports the sporting activities of the students who live here. The College itself has its own tennis court which was recently resurfaced and is used to play netball, basketball, tennis and 5-a-side football. Separately, Fountains Hall features badminton markings and is used for table tennis, martial arts, dance and cheerleading.
There is a huge range of sports teams, from more traditional sports such as football, hockey and rugby to more unusual pastimes such as Ultimate Frisbee and Mixed Lacrosse. These teams compete in inter-college leagues and nationally on occasion. The teams cater for all ability levels and are aimed at those who wish to try a new sport or take an existing interest to the next level. Grey College has a very strong reputation for sporting achievement, having placed in the top three in the inter-college rankings over recent years.
