Fees & Finance
What you get for your money
All students who live in College get 3 meals a day in term-time. The residence charge and college levies cover your use of all the facilities in term-time apart from the cost of your laundry and JCR events for which there is an additional charge, please follow the 'Undergraduate College Fees' link for more information regarding Residence Charges.
33 week lets include includes storage but not residence over the Christmas vacation.
38 week lets allow students to use their rooms during the relevant vacation periods; there is a two-week holiday close down in the Christmas vacation but no close-down during the Easter vacation. Catering is not provided outside term-time. In the first instance 38 week lets will only be available to international/islands students and any remaining places will be allocated by postcode.
The extended lets are worth considering even though they are slightly more expensive. They provide the benefit of being able to leave your belongings in your room over the vacations which saves you (or your parents) money and hassle. It also means that you can stay on at the end of terms or come back early - useful if you have academic commitments, sports training or get fed up at home and want to see your friends!
Additionally, there are further College Charges to be applied:
| Laundry Fob | £15 |
| Damages | £15 |
| Gown | £50 |
| Grey College Association | £51 |
| JCR Charge | £166 + VAT |
* Charges shown are from 2013 entry, they may change for 2014 entry.
