Grey College library
Library
The Victor Watts Library is one of the largest of all of the College libraries and is the first College Library to have online access to the book database thanks to the work of a former Grey student. It has recently been refurbished and dedicated to the memory of the third master of Grey College, Victor Watts.
There are two separate areas within the library - the bookshelves and study areas. The study area is an ideal place to sit in peace and quiet to get work done without interruption. Closer to the main exam period the study area is sometimes expanded to include the conference suite when demand for revision space increases.
Consisting of mostly course books, the library is a well-used resource by most students since resources in the main library are often highly contended. It is run by the College Librarian with assistance from the JCR's Library Committee.
Computer Rooms
There is a computer room in Grey, within Holgate next to the Library. The computers are upgraded to stay in line with the University specifications with a variety of applications available for use. They are equivalent to using the computers located elsewhere in the University. Each room has a mono laser printer, but computers also have access to the printers located within the Information Technology Service including the A0 plotter and colour laser printers.
