 Grey College

Welcome to the Grey College website!

Welcome to the Grey College website.  The College was founded just over fifty years ago and occupies a beautiful location close to the University Library and Science Laboratories. Grey has around 850 undergraduate and graduate members, together with Academic Visiting Fellows, Mentors and Staff. The College aims to support and encourage all of its students, adding value to their specialised academic studies and providing a variety of opportunities to unlock their broader potential.  The College is especially keen to recruit a diverse range of students and to make them all feel equally welcome, whatever their background. We hope that you will find something of interest here. If you need further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Why Grey?

  • A great community: Grey is a liberal, co-operative and relaxed academic community: it's not your background that matters, but who you are; and what you can bring to our College that counts. Grey students come from around the world: the majority of UK undergraduates have been educated in the state-sector, but all who become members of the College are made welcome.
  • Good Facilities: We enjoy a high standard of accommodation and facilities.
  • All-round excellence: We aim to support and encourage all our students to excel both academically and outside of their studies. Because of our comprehensive support provision and the range of opportunities we offer, our students achieve excellent examination results and engage in a range of activities that help them develop as individuals who can contribute to society when they graduate.

“There's a great sense of community and pride in being from Grey. There's something for everyone and the tolerant and accepting atmosphere makes everyone feel welcome. ”
