Ponds and Wetlands

There are a number of interesting ponds and wetland areas on the estate.  Apart from those within the Botanic Garden, the most accesible ones to staff and students are behind the Mountjoy buildings on the Science site where there is a pond and a reedbed.

Others include van Mildert College lake and the ponds at St Aidan's and Hild and Bede Colleges.

The IT technicians have done a splendid job of improving the shallow pond at the rear of the Maths/ITS building. Have a look next time you pass.
