Research Commercialisation
The Research Commercialisation Team provides support for research students whose research outputs may have commercial significance. We particularly welcome approaches from postgraduate students who:
-
are interested in exploring the possibility of setting up a spin-off or start-up company;
-
wish to disclose research results and intellectual property that may require patent protection;
-
have Know-How that may have commercial value i.e. licensing technologies;
-
are interested in finding a commercial partner for a joint business venture based on research output, or other project funding opportunities.
-
The team also provides mentoring and training in enterprise-related aspects of the skills development programme for postgraduate research students.
