Department of Geography

Programmes

Geography at Durham includes studies of human behaviour and the physical environment. It covers a diverse range of philosophical approaches to knowledge and employs a wide range of both quantitative and qualitative methods. Research in the department has been given the highest rating in the national Research Assessment Exercise (5**) and was graded as 'excellent' in the last HEFCE review of teaching quality.
