Students will have normally a 2:1 or equivalent first degree in either a social science (e.g. BA in Geography, Anthropology, Sociology), or a natural science (e.g. BSc in Geography, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies.
In order to apply you will need to complete the online application form. Shortly after submitting this form you will be contacted by the Department and asked to provide supporting documents (including two academic references).

Deadlines for your application
There is no deadline for application, however, if you are applying for funding you will need to apply at least six weeks before the funding body's deadline.
Language Requirements
Candidates whose first language is not English will normally be required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language by possessing a recent English language test score with overall band score of at least 6.5 in the IELTS test (with no element below 6.0) or at least 92 in the TOEFL IBT (Internet Based Test) (with no element under 23). In all cases the relevant certificate should have been issued within two years of the programme start date.
