EPSRC Funded PhD Studentship

We are delighted to invite applications for a fully-funded research studentship (three year PhD), supported by the EPSRC, to start on 1st October, 2012. The studentship will provide full-time Home / EU fees for three years from 2012 and a stipend for three years (£13,590 in 2012 - 2013), as well as Research Training Support Grant of £1,500 per year.

Topics

Your studentship project must be within EPSRC's remit.

Prospective students can develop their own topics or can apply to work on a topic suggested by a member of staff. A list of suggested topics will be available by 1st June, 2012; other topics may be added later. And, of course, prospective students are welcome to develop their own projects with supervisors.

How to Apply

  • CV.
  • Letter of interest.
  • Details of the proposed topic of research proposal - up to 2500 words, excluding footnotes and references.
  • Name of your proposed main supervisor (with whom you should have liaised to agree details of the research topic).
  • Two references from academic referees.
  • Certificates of qualification.
  • Academic transcripts.
