Dr Peter Atkins wins a Welcome Trust Research Leave Award

Dr Peter Atkins has been awarded a prestigious Welcome Trust Research Leave Award. This 18 month award will enable Peter to complete a major research monograph entitled ‘Milk: Pure or Poisonous? The History of a Key Food and its Health Consequences, 1850-1960’. Which, in the words of one of the referees, “will make a long overdue contribution to the history of milk and health from an essentially top-down, social policy perspective”.
