Applications are invited for the post of a full time Technical Assistant (Technician Grade 3) in the Department of Geography. The Department is situated on the Science Laboratories Site, South Road, Durham, and is one of Europe’s leading Geography Departments, with around 700 students and 100 staff. We are one of only a very small number of Departments to be awarded both the status of “Excellent” for the quality of teaching and the highest grading in the last two assessments of University research. We maintain a range of sophisticated laboratories to support research in a number of areas. Most of these laboratories have been recently refurbished or re-equipped with over £1.5 million of new equipment.
