Durham landslides TV story wins award

A video news release about landslides research at Durham University's Geography Department has won an award for the best overall performance on the Research-TV news network. The story first aired in January 2005 and was taken up by TV broadcasters around the world and continues to attract hits on the Research-TV website. It features Professor Dave Petley of the International Landslides Centre, whose work includes ground slippages in South East Asia and in Pakistan in the area of last year's earthquake.
