Cities and Climate Change Rio +20

To mark the upcoming Rio +20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) taking place in Rio 20th - 22nd June, the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) are highlighting how social sciences are contributing to environmental research by releasing a series of short films on the range of research currently being funded.

‘Cities and Climate’ focuses on Professor Harriet Bulkeley’s work on the Urban Transitions Project and shows how cities all over the world are responding to climate change by initiating over 600 climate change related projects and how these projects have an impact on social benefits and climate change.
