Visiting Professor at University of Campinas, Brazil

Professor Phil Macnaghten has been awarded a two year Visiting Professorship position in the Department of Science and Technology at the University Of Campinas, Brazil.

During his fellowship, Professor Macnaghten will be developing comparative research on the global governance of science and technology. He also will be developing strategic links between Durham and Unicamp (Brazil's number two University). The fellowship will be announced by Sir John Beddington, the UK's Chief Scientific Officer, at the Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, as part of a package of UK-Brazil initiatives.
