Self-Guided Walking Tour
Durham is home to some wonderful sights and heritage. During your stay we encourage you to take some time to explore the City in which there is Durham Cathedral, one of Britain's first world heritage sites, and the Castle which dates back to 1072 (it is used as one of the University's colleges), among many more worthy places to explore. On the right-hand side of the page there is a link to a self-guided walking tour of Durham and an audio recording by Durham University's Chancellor, Bill Bryson, to accompany it.
