Durham University Games Society
About Us
Written by Administrator

The Games Society welcomes gamers, card players, role players, board gamers, newbies, and generally people of all types. We have regular meetings several times a week, and everyone is welcome, regardless of your experience with or preference for any sort of games. Our meetings are:

- 7.30pm until about 10.00pm every Tuesday, when we play CCGs, inthe DSU Conference Room.

- 7.00pm until about 9.45pm every Thursday, when we play RPGs, meeting in ER157 and ER145

The society also acts as a base for anyone wanting to run their own games and there are usually several games running on nights other than Thursday.

- 10.00am until about 6.00pm every Saturday, when we play any other games we have or which people bring along, also in ER157. This includes board games, wargames and card games.

Our Saturday sessions in particular are very casual, so feel free to drop in for a 10 minute card game, an 8 hour board game marathon, or anything in between!

In addition to our listed meetings we frequently hold other events ranging from impromptu games, to pub quizzes, to bar crawls, to Newcastle trips. Details of these are posted to the GamesSoc mailing list, so This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you'd like to be added to it.

Elvet Riverside:

To find us from Bailey collages (Hatfield, Cuths etc), travel down the Bailey towards the town. At Subway / the cool Shoe shop, turn right on to Elvet Bridge. Cross over towards The Swan and Three Cygnets and turn right when you get to the pub. Elvet Riverside is the building just up the road opposite the Three Tuns Hotel.

To find us from Hill Collages (Trevs, Mildert etc): Travel down the hill towards town. At the Library / New Inn, cross over the road and keep going towards town. If you walk on the left hand side of the road, as you walk down the hill past DSU, Elvet Riverside is just before the cross roads, opposite the Three Tuns Hotel. It is the building with the automatic doors. ER157 is just up the stairs.
