I came to the Durham Foundation Programme from school in Jakarta. The Foundation Programme is the first year of a four year degree in Business and Finance, which I would otherwise have not been able to study on. This is because the qualifications I achieved in Jakarta are not internationally recognised as being of suitable standard. However, the Foundation Programme granted me a personal interview and I was able to show them that I had the capability to succeed if I was given a chance.
Now I am learning a wide range of academic skills that mean I will progress to my Business Finance degree with confidence. I will also have benefited from the variety of subjects offered on the Foundation Programme and the support of the lecturers and my fellow students.
