Hannah Howie - President of DULOG

Hannah Howie is a Third year Natural Sciences student from Hatfield College. She is the current President of Durham University Light Opera Group (DULOG) and gave her last performance at Durham as the lead in the Gala production of Fame!

Stefanie Jones - President of the Durham Revue

Stef Jones is a third year English Literature student at University College. As the President of the Durham Revue, Stef balances her time between devising hilarious new sketches for Durgan Revue shows and flicking through Chaucer and Shakespeare for her degree.

Alys Roberts

Alys Roberts is a third year at St. Chad’s College studying a Combined Honours degree in English Literature and Music. Alongside her degree, Alys spends much of her time getting involved with extra-curricular activities, notably as a soprano within the University Chamber Choir and regularly performing as part of Durham Opera Ensemble. As a current recipient of the Vice Chancellor’s scholarship for her extra-curricular involvement, Alys has enjoyed some of her best moments at Durham outside of her studies. ‘Singing in the Cathedral with the Chamber Choir was a definite highlight for me but apart from that I’ve had a lot of fun performing with the Opera Ensemble’.

Where are they now?

Callum Cheatle

Callum Cheatle (Geography, St. John’s, 2008-2011) enjoyed an amazing three years in Durham, participating in many student-led extra-curricular activities. Amongst the highlights were managing the 2011 Durham Drama Festival (four jam packed days of theatre, workshops and social events) and travelling on numerous theatrical tours of the UK, the USA and Kenya.

Dan Jeffries

Dan Jeffries (Music, St.Cuthbert’s, 2008-11) is a composer and sound designer who writes music for performance, film and theatre. Dan has written music and created sound design for several professional theatre productions to high acclaim, including productions at the Theatre Royal Haymarket London, and has ghost written music to several well-known BBC shows between 2008-2011.
