Experience Durham: Music

The Durham student music scene is incredibly lively, boasting numerous orchestras, bands and choirs for students to get involved with. There is a mix of auditioning and non-auditioning ensembles to join, so no matter what standard you are at, there are always ways in which to participate. Many colleges have their own music societies for students to join too.

Many of the university bands, orchestras and choirs perform in University and local venues at least once per term and details of their performances can be found here. Everyone is welcome to shows; staff, students and the wider local community so do come along and enjoy a fun-filled evening listening to some of our most talented musicians.
