Kronos Productions Presents 'God of Carnage' by Yazmina Reza
Thursday 2nd - Saturday 4th May
On a weekday afternoon, in a normal family living room, civilisation hangs by a thread. When two couples are forced into contact after their sons have an altercation in a local park, the layers of middle class respectability are stripped back, displaying human nature at its rawest and most vulnerable.
Featuring an abused hamster, waterlogged phones and gratuitous amounts of alcohol, ‘God of Carnage’ chews up the niceties of polite society and vomits them out. From the company behind ‘Salome’ and ‘The 39 Steps’ comes this uncomfortably familiar comedy about the limits of human tolerance, the fickleness of our loyalties, and the ‘savage’ within us all.
'God of Carnage' brings together a D’Oscar and D’Oliver award-winning cast and an acclaimed theatre company: Praise for ‘Salome’ - 5 Star (Tab), 4 Star (The Scotsman), 4 Star (Backstage Pass), ‘like nothing I have ever seen before’ (Palatinate) Praise for ‘The 39 Steps’ - 4 ½ Star (Tab), 4 Star (DTR), ‘you have to see it to believe it’ (Palatinate) Tickets are £5.50 - £5 (Student) - £4.50 (DST) and can be purchased online from the DST website by following: https://www.dur.ac.uk/theatre/show.php?show=1045
