Civil Ceremonies

As well as hosting wedding receptions, Event Durham is also able to provide a venue for your wedding ceremony. Set against the stunning backdrop of Durham cathedral, St Aidan's College has a full license for civil ceremonies.

Please note that a wedding ceremony booking is provisional until confirmation from the registrar is received. The registrar must be in attendance at the ceremony and it is your responsibility to contact the registrar's office to arrange this. The college will, however, ensure that an usher and a licensed representative are available during your wedding ceremony.
