Group Accommodation

During the University summer vacation St Aidan's College's accommodation, a short walk from the heart of the city, provides the perfect base from which to explore historic Durham City and the wider region.

Bamburgh Court

Bamburgh Court has 96 en suite bedrooms, including 12 double rooms, with a private shower, toilet and hand basin.

Straights

The Straights are the largest accommodation block within the College.  It has 90 singe standard bedrooms (with bathrooms shared between 4 to 6 rooms) and one disabled en suite room.  The rooms are on 3 floors, making it perfect to house groups of school age children.

Curve

The Curve has 52 single and 28 twin standard bedrooms (with bathrooms shared between 4 to 6 rooms).  The rooms are on 2 floors, allowing them to house groups of school age children.

Group bookings are welcome and catering can be arranged within the College's dining hall or private dinners for up to 60 in the Lindisfarne Centre or 18 in the Garden Room.  The College also has a fully stocked bar.

Social Space can be offered in either the Junior Common Room, Shincliffe or Bailey Rooms.

Groups requiring teaching or seminar rooms can use the College's meeting rooms or the nearby central teaching rooms, only a short walk away.
