During University term-time we are still able to offer a small number of bedrooms.
Guest Rooms at the College of St Hild & St Bede
Throughout the year the College of St Hild & St Bede offers two single and two twin en suites bedrooms with a private shower, toilet and hand basin, wardrobe and tea/coffee making facilities (one of these twins can be turned into a double room). The twin en suites have an interconnecting door making them ideal for families. In addition there is one twin room which has a private bathrooms located on the corridor.
State Rooms at Durham Castle
The State Rooms at Durham Castle are available as accommodation throughout the year.
These include Bishop's Suite situated in a part of the Castle built in the 13th century. It has a overlooking the River Wear, the walls of which are hung with 17th century tapestries.
There is also the Chaplain's Suite comprising of two rooms, one with a private bathroom. The rooms can be used separately or as a family room with an interconnecting door, and are tastefully furnished.
