Project Section
Introduction
The projects section within Estates & Buildings manages the construction of new buildings and major refurbishment projects with a value of £25,000 plus.
The team consists of experienced project managers with a good knowledge of the construction industry and a strong understanding of the generic project process.
Our project managers work to the University's in-house project procedures which have been developed in accordance with the Royal Institute of British Architects [RIBA] plan of work and Prince 2 guidelines.
As a matter of course project managers will:
- Work with clients to control the project programme and costs
- Minimise risk
- Ensure University procedures are followed in all areas of project work.
- Be responsible for ensuring that the Design Team produce a design that responds to and is in full compliance with the University's development brief
