ERUPT has delivered an improved understanding of four specific European volcanic systems - Vesuvius, Campi Flegrei, Stromboli and Teide. We have also studied selected "fossil" magma chamber systems exposed for direct field study by erosion of formerly active volcanic edifices.
The funding period is now complete however research is continuing and further results are still being produced.
