Dr Adam Stock
Biography
Dr Adam Stock graduated with a PhD from Durham University in 2012, where he is a tutor in the English Studies department. In October 2012 he also commenced a one-year post as Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Newcastle University. His doctoral thesis is entitled ‘Mid-Twentieth Century Dystopian Fiction and Political Thought’. He is currently working on projects seeded from his PhD research, as well as new research on the inter-relations between contemporary literature and fine art, with an emphasis on science fiction. His other research interests include utopian literature, social and political theory, cultural and intellectual history (particularly from the Enlightenment onwards).
