A staff and postgraduate research seminar.

Mark Nixon's main research focus is on the work of Samuel Beckett. Other research interests include James Joyce, Paul Celan; modern European literature with emphasis on period 1890-1940; History of Periodical Publishing 1900-1945; Irish writing; genetic manuscript studies, electronic scholarly editing.

IMRS/IMEMS Conference Series Summer 2013

Three conferences in June and July will mark the launch of the University’s Institute of Medieval and Early Modern Studies and the Durham exhibition of the Lindisfarne Gospels, and celebrate the rich resources of the city’s historic libraries – Cosin’s Library, the Cathedral Library, and the Library of Ushaw College.
